Ladies and gentlemen….. Sheryl….
Hi everyone! I first heard about StarJam last year and was instantly Jammed. Now I’m part of the team, looking after the CoolJam Programme. It has been great coming to the workshops and meeting the Jammers. It’s awesome to see you all having so much fun! Good news for those of you who are keen to see more CoolJam workshops closer to home - the plan is to start expanding the CoolJam Programme into different areas of Auckland , starting with more Hip Hop and Singing workshops in term two. I have previously worked in media and communications for Tourism New Zealand and Tourism Auckland and I also spent three years in Japan teaching English, which is how I ended up with my exotic-sounding surname! I will be working in the StarJam office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. When I’m not at work I’ll be at home looking after my very energetic 8-month-old son, Carlos. I love singing, so I will look forward to jamming with the singers sometime soon. If you have any questions about CoolJam or want more information about workshops you can reach me at sheryl@starjam.org
Daniel Gourlay also has just joined the team - it was the realisation of his big dream. Daniel first told us he wanted to work for StarJam nearly 3 years ago and never gave up asking. We are in admiration of his commitment as well as his many skills and talents. He’s working 2 days a week on Mondays and Wednesdays in the role of Communications Assistant. If you would like to contact Daniel you can send your fan mail todaniel@starjam.org
