Adrian Smith is a contemporary dance specialist who just returned from a Vivid Performance Group trip to Europe! Adrian is a qualified, experienced entertainment guru.
Bob Fleming is one of StarJam’s original tutors. A talented musician with a love of guitar and singing, he and his brother have their own band called About Time. Bob also owns a plastering business.
Carlene Newall is an avid breakdancer and jazz ballet fan. She is currently in her fifth year at the University of Auckland studying Dance and Psychology. Carlene is also an amazing circus performer!
Carola Leiva brings a Chilean influence to StarJam, and loves salsa, samba and cumbia dance styles. She also enjoys the art of photography.
Gary Davidson is an experienced StarJam tutor. Gary’s talents lie in the realm of drumming. He works in schools as a music specialist, and is known for his amazing ability to make music using everyday objects -like groceries!
Holly Duder-Joy represents the StarJam Whangarei Rockin’ Hip Hop crew. She has been a dance teacher for 18 years and her speciality is tap.
Jess Curtis is a Sensational Singing tutor for CoolJam and has helped with our shows. She focuses her passion for singing on jazz, but enjoys rock and metal. When winter hits, Jess’s other passion is snowboarding.
Joanie Bartels is an award-winning children’s entertainer, who loves sharing the magic of music with children and adults of all ages.
Blenheim-born Jocee Tuck is a talented singer of ‘chilled out, lax folkie music with warm melodies,’ and can dance like crazy to anything. Jocee’s band is Bearcat.
Jono Heaps is an original Jammer who has a love of working with children, singing jazz, and playing piano. Jono is a phone counsellor for What’s Up.
Lauren Thomson is one of New Zealand’s finest singer / songwriters. She has just released a CD called Our Love Is Due, and has been involved since 2007.
Lorraine Ryan has an amazing energy. She is studying at Life Leadership College, and heads up dance at LIFE where she runs Elev8, a dance ministry team.
