The StarJam CoolJam Show, the last big Jam for the year was held at Western Springs Community Hall on Saturday 25 th . What a blast, to see the talents and the joy of the Jammers! For many it was their first ever stage debut. They did themselves, the audience and the whole StarJam community proud.

StarJam recipient of Air NZ Christmas Charity Auction

In the spirit of Christmas, Air New Zealand is organising an exciting online Christmas Charity Auction to raise funds for three children’s charities, Make a Wish Foundation, Starship Foundation and US – STAR JAM !!

From Monday 11 to Tuesday 19 December , Air New Zealand will auction off flights and holiday packages to almost all of its 49 international and domestic destinations. The airline has also teamed up with its family of sponsors to put together some great “money can’t buy” packages such as flight simulator rides with All Blacks captain Richie McCaw , a vineyard tour around Hawkes Bay with renowned wine maker Kate Radburnd and a day out on the water with Olympic gold medallist Barbara Kendall. The Funky Fotography Workshop

To round off the 2006 series of “CoolJam” workshops which included hip hop dancing, guitar, singing, acting and set design, one of the most unique was the Funky Fotography workshop. Our Jammers were invited to Hewlett Packard’s new downtown premises to use it at as their paparazzi den and to take advantage of ‘state of the art’ hardware and software to manipulate and print their photos. This workshop was generously sponsored by Hewlett Packard, Microsoft and Patrick Bellett Photography.

Introducing Bridgette Johanson

We are delighted to introduce you to Bridgette Johanson who joined the StarJam team in October. “ When I joined StarJam last month, I had a basic idea about the work, Julie and Roy, and the Jammers… everything I knew was from the monthly e-chat! But since then, I have been blown away by everything that StarJam is… I guess that you could say I got Jammed! As I’m a dancer, I came from a performance background. That, combined with my love of working with kids, some with disabilities, meant that when I saw the ad for the role at StarJam, I thought this is the job for me! And I love it! Thanks to everyone - you have made me feel so welcome.”
