Redmond makes his first movie!
Wednesday 11 February saw Redmond Nicholson, who wants to be a film director, in that role on his first film shoot making a new five minute promotional video about StarJam. Not only was Red the director, but he also scripted the video as well as fronting it as the narrator and interviewer.
It was a full on day as Red plus the production team of film crew, driver and assistant traveled to several locations around Auckland filming short interviews with some of the young stars of “Stars Thru Their Eyes 2003″.
The new video will have its Premiere screening at the StarJam monthly meeting on Saturday 27 February at 14 Erson Ave, Royal Oak.
Jonathon Heaps Jams John McEnroe!
John McEnroe with Jonathon and his mother Jean
Thanks to the efforts of Chris Lewis of Auckland Tennis Jonathon Heaps got to interview tennis megastar John McEnroe who had been in Auckland to play Australian Pat Cash.
McEnroe who had beaten Cash 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 in two hours and 20 minutes two nights previously on Tuesday 3 February, commented not only on how much he had enjoyed the experience, but also how he had learnt a couple of things from his astute and eloquent interviewer. Perhaps Jonathan gave John a few tips he will use when hosting his own talk-back show on his return to the USA.
Well done Jono!
