I saw the Dynamic Drummers and the Velvet Vocals performing at the 2010 New Zealander of the Year Awards. They did a fantastic job. Their enthusiasm and dedication are an inspiration to all of us

Glen Terry – a guitar legend on stage at the Hamilton Show

This years StarJam “show season” was a fantastic success. For the first time ever we had 3 StarJam shows; one in Wellington, one in Auckland, and one in Hamilton. A total of nearly 200 Jammers performed and inspired their audiences.

A First for Wellington

Our new Wellington Jammers kicked things off with a breath-taking show at the St James Theatre. A cast of 50 took to the stage to perform alongside the iconic Ray Woolf, the wonderful Wellington Vector Orchestra, and TV3 news presenter Arrun Soma. By the end of the night there were smiles all round.

Michaela Jackson sings her heart out at the Auckland Show

The following week our Auckland Jammers took to the stage at the Telstra Clear Pacific Events Centre. With twice as many in the cast, it was a busy day spent in rehearsals, costumes, and hair and make up. The performances were outstanding, the level of professionalism incredible, and the smiles on the faces…priceless!

Perfect Finish in Hamilton

We finished the show season off in Hamilton at the Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts. The cast of 60 had energy to burn, and together with Ray Woolf, Ben Lummis and Luke Thompson, entertained the almost sold-out crowd. Celebrity interviews, awesome dance routines, soulful singing and incredible guitar and drum playing made for an inspiring show.

A Round of Applause

All in all, it was an amazing way to round out 2011. Massive thanks to the team of over 100 volunteers who helped at all 3 shows. Without your dedication, support and enthusiasm none of the shows would have been so successful. Big thanks also to our donors, suppliers, and sponsors. Your support means everything to us; the shows would not have been possible without your support. And to all the Jammers out there…YOU ROCK! Well done, and bring on 2012!
